Did you know that if you are over 55 and on Centrelink Newstart benefits and you are struggling to find work that you can volunteer at an organisation like ours in place of job searching. Over 55 volunteers work two days a week (15 hours) to fulfil the requirements by Centrelink.
We also have many volunteers from the community who devote anywhere from half a day to days to aid us in our services to the community.  Meet a few of our volunteers below who give of their time generously.
As a thriving community centre we are grateful and appreciate the time given by volunteers to service our call centre and reception at the Russell Island head office.
Meet our dedicated and committed receptionists.
Our volunteers who are day team supervisors help keep the different areas running smoothly. We appreciate their commitment to our cause. Let us introduce you to the Russell Island BICS day managers below.

Meet our Russell Island BICS volunteers. You will see them around the island helping with pick-up and deliveries; behind the counter; and around the Opp shop as they sort through the range of clothing, goods, furniture, and odds and ends.
When you next pop into the Macleay Island BICS Opp shop you will see the smiling and helpful faces of some of our volunteers. Monday to Saturday we are supported by various community volunteers on any given day. Meet a few below.
