Russell Island Community Garden

Russell Island Community Garden was established over 6 years ago to benefit the people who were unable to grow vegetables and fruits in their own gardens for whatever reason.

Part of the garden is divided into individual plots in which singles, couples and families grow their own choice of vegetables and fruits.

The other part of the garden is still being developed but it does contain fruit trees and is our community area where any of our members can plant and all can harvest the results.

Our working bee days are on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, however, once a member, access to the gardens are available at all times.

FEE

Annual (year) membership fee is $20 if you want a plot for 12 months.

Most tools are supplied and we have a worm farm and compost bins.

WHEN

Working bees on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. 8am-12pm.

Morning tea provided. Members can access the garden at any time.
